Ever notice the difference of who and how people hold out their hand to you. Some are always uplifting, ready to catch you when you fall or lend the helping hand to pick you up when things are bad. Then there are the others. Yes, the ones who slap you down. As all magicians know, watch the hands—they are very telling. What is it about humankind that leads to the slap down instead of the helping hand. What happened to the old motto ‘tous pour un, un pour tous’ (All for one, and one for all) Yes, the three musketeers are a bit outdated, but the motto shouldn’t be. Shouldn’t we all be the hand that helps and uplifts. Why can’t we pick each other up instead of slapping each other down. Which hand do you want to be?
