Remember When Series are designs capturing a little of whence we came. In this design, you see a boombox strapped over the shoulder – this is how we made music portable in the 70s—the bigger the boombox the better. They were so big, bulky and heavy we had no alternative but to carry them over our shoulder. The evolution of portable music was slow– the Walkman (80s), the CD Player or Discman as it was known (90s) and then there was the iPod (2001). Wait? What’s and iPod??? Yes, exactly. The iPod, the iPod Shuffle, the iPod Nano – all gone now. Now its streaming (Sirius XM or Spotify or Pandora or…). Whatever happened to the bigger the better???
